Somatotropin/Somatropin Benefits, Uses, Side Effects and Functions

Discover the Function, Sources and Benefits of Somatotropin Supplements and Somatropin Injections

Somatotropin—also known as human growth hormone (HGH) or simply as growth hormone (GH)—is a polypeptide produced by somatotrope cells in the pituitary gland. It supports skeletal growth in children and adolescents, and plays a role in metabolism, body composition, muscle growth and tissue repair in adults. In addition to the somatotropin naturally produced by the body, a synthetic form of HGH called somatropin is available with a doctor’s prescription. Certain health and bodybuilding supplements may also help increase somatotropin production through natural ingredients known as HGH releasers. Many of these ingredients can be found in the proprietary-blend formulas of Somatropinne HGH, Growth Factor Plus, HGH 30,000 Nanograms, A-MAX 50, and HGF MAX, among others.

Functions of Somatotropin

Children and adolescents require somatotropin for proper growth and development; those with an HGH deficiency may require somatropin injections to achieve normal height. In adults, somatotropin helps maintain healthy tissues and organs. It can also increase bone density, muscle mass, and protein synthesis as well as decrease body fat and improve exercise capacity. Because HGH production naturally declines with age, some adults take somatotropin-boosting supplements to enhance their athletic performance and combat the physical signs of aging.

Sources of Somatotropin/Somatropin

For most individuals, the primary source of somatotropin is the body’s endogenous production by the somatotropic cells of the pituitary gland. The body produces its highest levels of somatotropin during childhood and adolescence; these levels significantly decline when the individual reaches full adult height. Scientists have also developed a synthetic form of somatotropin known as somatropin or somatrem, using E. coli or mammalian cells to create therapeutic proteins in a laboratory setting. Somatropin is chemically identical to the somatotropin that is produced by the pituitary gland and administered by subcutaneous injection. It is a regulated substance, which means it can only be legally prescribed for FDA-approved uses.

Since somatropin injections are not legally available to healthy adults, those seeking the benefits of somatotropin may opt to take natural supplements that are designed to boost the body’s own HGH production. Certain amino acids are recognized as natural HGH releasers—including GABA, arginine, ornithine, glutamine, lysine, tyrosine and glycine—so dietary supplements containing these ingredients may help increase somatotropin levels.

Somatropin Benefits and Uses

The pituitary gland’s secretion of somatotropin supports bodily growth and development throughout childhood and adolescence, so the most common reason for prescribing somatropin is to treat children and teens with HGH deficiency or specific medical conditions. FDA-approved pediatric uses of somatropin include idiopathic growth hormone deficiency, Noonan syndrome, Turner syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, chronic renal insufficiency, short stature homeobox-containing gene (SHOX) deficiency, and idiopathic short stature.

Although HGH levels naturally decline with age, somatotropin continues to play a role throughout adulthood—helping to regulate metabolism and protein synthesis and promoting organ, tissue and bone health. Somatropin may be legally prescribed to adults who have severe HGH deficiency, which normally occurs due to a pituitary adenoma (tumor) or adenoma-related surgery or radiation treatments. It is also sometimes prescribed to prevent or minimize wasting in AIDS patients.

Somatropin injections can improve bone density, muscle mass and exercise capacity in adults with HGH deficiency, and they can produce similar outcomes in healthy adults. As a result, some bodybuilders and athletes take somatropin to enhance their athletic performance and physique. However, it should be noted that somatropin cannot legally be prescribed for such purposes. Furthermore, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), International Olympic Committee and numerous sports organizations have banned the use of HGH injections among athletes.

Given the potential repercussions associated with illegal somatropin injections, many bodybuilders, athletes and aging adults have starting taking natural HGH supplements to help the body increase its own somatotropin production. Proponents of somatotropin-boosting supplements report that these natural HGH releasers have helped them develop lean muscle, improve their strength and endurance, and recover from intense workouts and injuries more quickly. They also credit HGH supplements with enhancing their body composition and slowing the visible signs of aging.

Somatropin Side Effects

Individuals considering HGH injections should be aware of somatropin side effects and interactions. Some users have experienced an allergic reaction, with symptoms such as itching or rashes, chest pain, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face, tongue, or throat. Other possible side effects include headaches, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, fluid retention, swelling of the hands or feet, muscle stiffness or pain, and burning, tingling or numbness in the skin. Somatropin may increase the risk of developing diabetes, cancer or pancreatitis, and it can cause dislocation of the hipbone that results in limping or knee/hip pain. Interactions have been recorded when somatropin is used with estrogen hormone replacement or glucocorticoids (such as prednisone or hydrocortisone), and somatropin can cause adverse effects in patients with diabetes, scoliosis, kidney disease and certain other medical conditions.

Somatotropin-boosting HGH supplements tend to have fewer and less severe side effects than somatropin injections; however, the side effects and interactions will vary depending on the supplement’s ingredients.

More detailed safety information on somatropin side effects, interactions and precautions can be found on the Mayo Clinic website. For natural somatotropin-boosting supplements, refer to the relevant ingredient articles on HGH.com to learn about potential side effects and interactions. As with any medication or health supplement, it is best to consult your physician before using somatropin injections or natural HGH supplements.

Somatotropin/Somatropin Research and Studies

Researchers have conducted numerous studies on both the natural and synthetic forms of somatotropin. Visit the PubMed site sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to explore the latest somatotropin research and somatropin studies. Increase Height Growth with Natural Hormones

You can increase your height with
HGH Supplements and Growth Factor Plus!

Which hormones help to increase height growth?

If you consider yourself truly "vertically challenged," you may spend more time than you'd care to admit obsessing about people who are taller and wishing that there was some way to actually increase your height. The good news is that you can increase your height, naturally, even if you're well past the age of puberty. In order to do so, however, it's important to first understand the hormones that are responsible for height growth.

Human Growth Hormone

Scientists discovered a hormone responsible for weight loss, muscle building and height growth back in the 1920s. This hormone is known as human growth hormone, or HGH. In some cases, HGH is referred to as the "height growth hormone" because of its unique ability to increase height. HGH is released by the pituitary gland in high concentrations during puberty, but its production is slowed down greatly once puberty ends, which is around the age of 18 for most people.

HGH controls both bone and cellular growth, which combine to increase an individual's height. However, you won't grow significantly in height once your body stops producing HGH naturally - unless you take action, that is. One way of taking action is to begin an HGH supplementation regimen. Height growth supplements are available as pills, skin patches and injections, and they must be taken regularly according to the directions on the packaging in order to work effectively.

Insulin Growth Factor 1

Another hormone responsible for height growth is called Insulin Growth Factor 1, or IGF-1. IGF-1 is produced by the liver, and is primarily responsible for bone growth. However, the amount of IGF-1 produced by your liver is directly determined by the amount of HGH produced by your pituitary gland, as well as any HGH you introduce to your body through supplementation. In other words, if your internal levels of HGH are very low and you don't supplement them, your body will be unable to produce IGF-1 and you will not grow in height.

Increasing Height Naturally

In order to grow in height, you must boost your levels of both HGH and IGF-1 by using HGH supplements. You can also increase your height by lowering your estrogen levels. Women tend to be shorter than men because they have more estrogen. This hormone is responsible for closing down the growth plates in our spines and preventing additional height growth.

One effective way of increasing HGH levels besides using HGH supplements is to ensure that you're getting plenty of sleep. Your body produces HGH in its highest concentrations during the first two hours you spend asleep. You can also increase your natural HGH levels by lifting weights, which will alter your hormone levels to promote more HGH production for 24 hours after your strength training session.

The Answer - How to Increase your Height

So in conclusion - you can increase your height by increasing your HGH Levels. HGH.com produces a pill called Growth Factor Plus which works to increase your HGH and IGF-1, in addition to providing you a proprietary blend of ingredients that will help you grow taller. Furthermore, if you stack GFP with an additional HGH Supplement such as Somatropinne HGH or HGF Max, your results will be enhanced even more.

HGH.com Shares Top 10 Benefits of Natural Human Growth Hormone (HGH) Supplements

HGH.com Supplements Are Intended to Naturally Boost HGH Levels to Improve Health, Body, Mind and Strength

BOONTON, N.J., Jan. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Human growth hormone (HGH) has been credited with a variety of positive effects on health and wellness; but since injectable HGH can only legally be prescribed for a limited range of health conditions,* many consumers have turned to natural HGH supplements. HGH.com, an established industry leader that manufactures a range of health and bodybuilding supplements in U.S.-based Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities, aims to leverage the advantages of HGH with a range of targeted products.

HGH.com began researching and developing HGH releasers in 1993 and selling over-the-counter supplements through its online storefront in 2003. Today, the company offers a wide array of HGH supplements and conducts ongoing research to drive product improvements.

HGH.com Lists Top 10 Benefits of Their Natural HGH Supplements for 2017:

  • Anti-Aging Supplements: The body's ability to produce HGH declines with age, so boosting HGH levels can help to reverse the visible signs of aging and support optimal physical condition. HGH.com's anti-aging formulations include Somatropinne HGH, HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray, HGF Max, Female Hormone Balancer with Sensoril and SkinPerfect Anti-Aging with Collagen.
  • Brain Health Supplements: Because HGH stimulates cell growth and regeneration, it has beneficial effects on the brain and can help improve memory, focus, learning and emotional wellbeing. HGF Max, Somatropinne HGH, and HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray all contribute to better brain health.
  • Cartilage Support Supplements: Athletes who engage in strenuous workouts can put a lot of strain on their joints. Consequently, many rely on HGH supplements such as Growth Factor Plus, Cut and Ripped Plus, Somatropinne HGH and HGF Max to promote faster recovery and support healthy joints, cartilage and bones.
  • Energy Boosters/Metabolism Boosters: Energy levels and metabolism often decline with age, so HGH's ability to boost energy, stamina and metabolism can help users maximize the effects of their workouts. Somatropinne HGH, HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray, HGH Testosterone, HGF Max, ClenXDV, Ana-GH, DBol-GH, and Cut and Ripped Plus are all formulated to deliver these benefits.
  • Mass Gain: Bodybuilders and athletes frequently turn to HGH supplements to help them quickly build lean mass and muscle. HGH.com's mass builder products include DBol-GH, A-Max 50, Dekka, RoidX Juice, Ana-GH, Cut and Ripped Plus, Somatropinne HGH and HGH Spray 30,000 Nanos.
  • Memory Support: To combat age-related memory loss, many adults take HGH supplements such as Somatropinne HGH, HGF Max, and HGH 30,000 Nanos pills. These products help support healthy brain function and improve memory, focus and sleep.
  • Muscle Growth: One of the reasons HGH releasers are especially popular among bodybuilders is their ability to promote rapid muscle growth. HGH.com muscle builder formulas include Growth Factor Plus, A-Max 50, Dekka, RoidX Juice, HGF Max, Winadrol, ClenXDV, Ana-GH, DBol-H, Cut and Ripped Plus, Somatropinne HGH, and HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray.
  • Skin Care, Hair and Nails: Among the key anti-aging effects associated with HGH are improved skin texture, elasticity and moisture, as well as longer and stronger hair and nails. SkinPerfect Hair, Skin and Nails supplements deliver these and other benefits, as do Somatropinne HGH, HGF Max, and HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray.
  • Weight Loss Pills: HGH supplements have the ability to boost metabolism and burn fat, helping users achieve rapid weight loss and long-term weight loss. HGH.com offers several formulas that can aid in weight loss, including Hydrox Slim, Female Hormone Balancer with Sensoril, ClenXDV, HGF Max, Somatropinne HGH, and HGH 30,000 Nanos pills and spray.
  • Height Growth Supplements: One of the primary uses of prescription HGH is to treat poor growth and idiopathic short stature in children.* Many adults have sought similar benefits from over-the-counter HGH releasers such as Growth Factor Plus and Somatropinne HGH.

"Our supplements are formulated with natural ingredients that are designed to increase the body's production of HGH, thereby maximizing these benefits," explained Smith. "Thousands of satisfied clients rely on HGH.com products to achieve different health, fitness and bodybuilding goals, and to help keep their mind and body in the best shape possible."

Exercise Videos and Tips for Arthritis & Aging

Whether you're trying to control pain or weight, need to lower your blood pressure or just want to feel better, exercise is known to provide these and numerous other health benefits. If you have arthritis or other aches and pains associated with aging, exercise can be instrumental in decreasing joint paint, reducing joint stiffness, improving flexibility, increasing mobility and enhancing overall wellness.

When you have arthritis or other aches and pains that tend to happen as you age, the thought of exercising can be very intimidating. However, the rewards and benefits by doing certain exercises can pay off with huge benefits to your body and quality of life. To give you the encouragement you may need, we have gathered together some great exercise videos and tips to get you started. Exercises for People with Hip and Knee Arthritis

A professional physical therapist gives us some non-weight-bearing exercises that can be beneficial for someone who has arthritis in the hip or knee areas. The first exercise is a straight-leg raise, which uses the quadricep muscles and hip flexors. Increasing the intensity is as easy as adding an ankle weight to this exercise. The second exercise we learn about is a bridge, where the gluteus maximus is lifted and works the quadriceps and hamstrings, as well as hip and back extensors. The last exercise demonstrated is a side leg raise, which strengthens the hip abductor. These three exercises target the hip and knee areas, while focusing on strengthening the muscles around the joint, reducing the shock absorption and taking stress off of the joints. Check out this Exercise for Arthritis & Aging: Hip & Knee Arthritis Exercises video for the full presentation of each exercise.

Pull-Ups Exercise Videos and Tips

Awesome Pull-Ups Exercise Videos and Tips

When it comes to upper body development, pull-ups can be very effective. However, pull-ups are oftentimes an overlooked exercise. As we mentioned in the Bodyweight Training Videos and Tips blog post, pull-ups are one of the three fundamental bodyweight training exercises that build muscle and strength. They are known to develop upper body muscles, including biceps, triceps, lats, traps and abs.

Whether you're a bodybuilder, fitness trainer or just want a great workout, pull-ups should be an integral part of your strength training regimen. They're ideal to warm up and cool down for upper-body sessions, and are a great way to add variety to your workout routine. In addition, you can easily increase the difficulty by performing weighted pull-ups by adding a weight belt around your waist, wearing a weight vest, or holding a dumbbell between your ankles or knees.

We've gathered a few videos about pull-ups for you, including one that shows the difference between chin-ups and pull-ups and another that shows common mistakes. Plus, we found a video that talks about the recent Guinness World Record holder for pull-ups. We've also created a dedicated Pinterest board with Pull-Ups Tips and Videos.

What’s the Difference Between Pull-Ups and Chin-Ups?

Get the lowdown on the major distinctions between a pull-up, chin-up and neutral-grip pull-up. They all concentrate on the biceps, lats, traps, brachialis and posterior delts. You’ll find that the pecs and traps are activated first, followed by the biceps and lats. However, it’s all in where the emphasis is. For example, when we look at the overhand pull-up, we notice that it is easier on the wrists and elbows, while focusing on the forearm flexors, brachialis, brachioradialis and lower traps. Now, when it comes to the neutral chin-up or neutral pull-up, the palms are facing each other, and there is more emphasis on the rhomboid and lats. Whereas the underhand grip chin-up focuses on the biceps and lats more than a neutral pull-up, while also targeting the teres major, posterior delt, rhomboids and lower traps. For more information, check out this video:

How to Avoid Common Mistakes When Doing Pull-ups

While pull-ups are an excellent indication of overall strength and a great exercise to build back muscles, there are five common mistakes people make when doing them. One of the Buff Dudes take us through the most frequent faux pas to help you avoid making them when performing this exercise. In the video, they discuss these five common pull-ups exercise mistakes:

1. Using Your Momentum
2. Elbows in Wrong Position
3. Not Pulling Your Shoulders Down and Back
4. Not Performing Full Range of Motion
5. Not Being Able to Complete a Pull-Up

Breaking the Guinness World Record for Pull-Ups

How many pull-ups can you do in a 24-hour period? When 54-year-old Mark Jordan from Corpus Christi, Texas answers this question, he breaks records. He spent a year preparing for this moment. Not only did he work out and practice, but he also focused on a solid strategy. In November of 2014, Mark was put to the test for a chance to break the Guinness World Record and succeeded by accomplishing a total of 4,321 pull-ups in 24 hours. In March of 2015, Guinness World Records confirmed that Mark Jordan holds the record for Most Pull-ups in 24 hours. Check out his achievement with this video report from USA Today.

Circuit Training Workouts

Get the Most out of Circuit-Training Workouts

Have you hit a plateau or just want to switch up your workout routine a bit? Then, you're probably going to enjoy circuit training workouts as much as we do. You'll find they provide the ideal combination of strength exercises and aerobic exercises. There are many benefits to circuit training as well:

  • Easily modifiable for all fitness levels
  • Builds total body strength
  • Increases endurance
  • Stimulates weight loss
  • Breaks plateaus
  • Improves cardiovascular fitness
  • Bans workout boredom

In general, circuit training workouts include six to 10 exercises completed consecutively with little to no rest between each. To get the optimal benefits from circuit training, you should not rest for any more than 30 seconds between exercises. For timed circuit training workouts, beginners may want to start with 30 seconds per exercise and increase the amount of time as you advance. You can also shorten the rest time between exercises.

Endurance Workout Training Videos and Tips

Endurance Workouts to Increase Your Energy and Stamina

Do you participate in an endurance sport or just want to improve your staying power? By adding high-intensity interval training, such as endurance workouts, to your routine, you can increase stamina, build muscle and burn fat. As you use all of your body's major muscles simultaneously, you boost your metabolism, which fuels weight loss. To reach your optimal level of performance, you need to make sure to maintain proper hydration, keep up your protein intake, improve your warm ups, increase strength training and get the right supplementation.

We want to see you go the distance, so we explored all of the incredible information out there to find some great ways to help you improve your aerobic and anaerobic endurance. While aerobic exercises improve your body's oxygen consumption and enlist slow-twitch muscles to be active for sustained periods of time, anaerobic exercises do not require oxygen to generate force and use fast-twitch muscles for short periods of time. Ideally every athlete wants a good balance of aerobic and anaerobic endurance. To give you the motivation you need to go faster and farther than ever before, we put together a few videos along with a Pinterest board dedicated to endurance workouts

How to Gain a Safe and Legal Advantage with HGH Supplements

With the summer Olympics just about in full swing, the talk of doping and HGH is in high gear. Every athlete will do just about anything to get the medal and bend every rule without (knowingly) breaking them.

WADA is the World Anti-Doping Agency whose mission is to lead a collaborative global campaign for anti-doping. They are essentially the main authority that athletes can turn to in order to ensure they aren’t breaking any rules. Of course, every sport including the Olympics has their own set of rules that may not conform to WADA’s set of rules.

The burning question is how to bend the rules without breaking? How do you gain the fair advantage over your opponents without cheating? Even more importantly, how do you do it safely for your body? Forget about just winning a medal or gaining the advantage, how do you do it without negatively affecting your overall health? The answer may lie with simple supplementation.

Why inject yourself with hormones and steroids when you can legally take a supplement that simply “supplements” your body and naturally gives you the same affect you would be trying to achieve with HGH or steroid injections?

HGH.com has been creating such supplements, with a focus around natural growth hormone supplements for years and is the leading authority when it comes to legal alternatives to gaining the advantages that you need in order to compete and achieve your health goals. Whether it’s added testosterone, muscle bodybuilding, endurance training, weight loss, or even simple lean mass gain, HGH.com has the best legal supplement for you that does not require a doctor’s prescription. Furthermore, HGH.com’s supplements are safe for your body and conform to almost all WADA’s policies.

We get questioned all of the time on whether our products will pass certain drug tests. The fact of the matter is that all of our products are perfectly legal and we do our best to keep on top of the WADA policies; However, WADA drug lists change quite often and every sport/association do different types of testing. One of the reasons we offer such a diverse catalog of products that are seemingly similar is that if one someone is not allowed to take a certain product, we can through different ingredients still give athletes the ability to achieve their goal. We offer the best hgh supplements for bodybuilding and height growth, in addition to many anti-aging, weight loss, and other helpful supplements.

The products that HGH.com produces and sells are some of the most advanced formula’s that science and technology are able to create today. Athletes, competitors, and bodybuilders from all over the world purchase HGH.com supplements every day to gain the advantage they need that will get their bodies in the shape they crave.
