Bodyweight Training Videos & Tips

Building a Buff Body with Bodyweight Training

Bodyweight training is oftentimes overlooked and underrated. What's amazing is the body transforming results that bodyweight exercises can help you achieve. It's not like your body can distinguish between a barbell, dumbbell, kettlebell or your own bodyweight. All it really knows is how hard it needs to work to move the resistance. For example, if you're bench pressing, you use your pectorals, deltoids and triceps, but don't really work any other muscle groups, unless you make a conscious effort to do so. By performing bodyweight exercises, like one-arm push-ups, you're not only working your pecs, delts and triceps, but you're also incidentally working your lats, abs, glutes, quads and hamstrings. Another great thing about bodyweight training is that you can workout anytime wherever you are. You don't need any extra equipment and you don't even have to go to the gym.

We found a few videos that show numerous bodyweight exercises, including five of Coach Kozak's favorites, 44 of the best bodyweight exercises from Tee Major Fitness and a 30-minute bodyweight boot camp. Plus, we've added a special Pinterest board filled with bodyweight training tips, exercises and workouts.

Bodyweight Training with Coach Kozak

As a constant fixture in the health and fitness world for more than 15 years, Coach Kozak shares his innovative scientific method to training and nutrition. From professional athletes to soccer moms and even a Heisman trophy winner, Coach Kozak has brought extraordinary results to thousands of clients.

In this video, Coach Kozak with HASfit provides step-by-step video instruction for a full-body workout using bodyweight exercises alone. Take a glimpse at the training regimen he has in store for you:

  • Pistol Squat
  • Downward Dog to Chaturanga Push-up to a High Plank
  • Negative Manual Glute-Ham Raise
  • Sit up to a Russian Twist
  • Negative Negative Pull ups

Try the Best Bodyweight Exercises Ever

When it comes to using bodyweight training to build strength and muscle, there are three fundamental movements: push-ups, pull ups and squats. We've discovered that there are numerous variations of these essentials, as well as a variety of other bodyweight exercises you can incorporate into your workout schedule. Boot Camp-Style Bodyweight Workout

If you’re ready to intensify your bodyweight training, then you’ll love this 30-Minute Bodyweight Boot Camp Workout You Can Do Anywhere video. Adam Rosante, a celebrity trainer based out of New York City, leads the way in this half-hour of muscle pumping, sweat dripping full-body workout. He makes a wonderful point with this no excuses workout, “You’re going to use the body you have to create the body you want.”

This video includes a warm up, full workout and cool down, as well as lots of motivation from Adam along the way. Another nice thing about this workout is that if you don’t have enough time, the warm up nicely gets your blood flowing and is better than not working out at all.

Endurance Workout Training Videos and Tips

Endurance Workouts to Increase Your Energy and Stamina

Do you participate in an endurance sport or just want to improve your staying power? By adding high-intensity interval training, such as endurance workouts, to your routine, you can increase stamina, build muscle and burn fat. As you use all of your body's major muscles simultaneously, you boost your metabolism, which fuels weight loss. To reach your optimal level of performance, you need to make sure to maintain proper hydration, keep up your protein intake, improve your warm ups, increase strength training and get the right supplementation.

We want to see you go the distance, so we explored all of the incredible information out there to find some great ways to help you improve your aerobic and anaerobic endurance. While aerobic exercises improve your body's oxygen consumption and enlist slow-twitch muscles to be active for sustained periods of time, anaerobic exercises do not require oxygen to generate force and use fast-twitch muscles for short periods of time. Ideally every athlete wants a good balance of aerobic and anaerobic endurance. To give you the motivation you need to go faster and farther than ever before, we put together a few videos along with a Pinterest board dedicated to endurance workouts

Three Ways to Enhance Bodybuilding Progress with Hormone Supplements

Three ways to get better bodybuilding
results with HGH Supplements

3 Tricks for Faster Bodybuilding Results with Natural HGH Supplements

As a bodybuilder, your goal is to make the largest possible gains in muscle strength, density and mass while minimizing gains in fat and excess water weight. After all, bulking up too much during the bodybuilding off-season will leave you with an unrealistic amount of weight to lose when it comes time to cut the fat and get lean for a bodybuilding competition. As such, bodybuilders need a way to make their physical gains as efficient as possible, without putting on extra non-lean body mass.

Taking natural growth hormone supplements, used in combination with a rigorous strength training and cardio plan and a sound nutritional diet, is the best way of achieving this. However, just taking random human growth hormone supplements at random intervals and hoping for progress is far from efficient. Our supplements are incredibly powerful, but they work in conjunction with your efforts. The following tricks will allow you to maximize the effectiveness of your natural growth hormone supplement routine.

1. Take Natural Growth Hormone Supplements After Your Strength Training Workout

Although few realize it, some natural growth hormone supplements are actually best taken after a strength training workout rather than before it - (Note I refer to "some" and not "all"). This is because some natural growth hormone supplements are excellent for speeding the recovery of your muscles. When you engage in an intense strength training session, your muscles will incur tiny rips and tears in their fiber. Protein is required to repair these rips and tears, and natural human growth hormone makes it easier for protein to complete this job. The result is a shorter recovery period, allowing you to get back in the weight room to start working that same muscle group sooner.

Unless your supplement is specifically designed for increasing your energy for your workout - maybe take it after.

2. Perform Explosive Exercises

Explosive exercises are ones that have you lifting a relatively large amount of weight over a relatively short number of reps. Unlike rhythmic exercises, which require a small amount of resistance and a large amount of reps in order to enhance muscle definition and toning, explosive exercises focus on building muscle mass, strength and density. It all depends on your goals - some people want tone, but many want the mass gains that bodybuilders achieve. In order to get mass gains - you need to perform explosive workouts.

Explosive exercises are also excellent for enhancing your body's natural levels of growth hormones. By performing explosive exercises such as dead lifts and squats, you'll maximize your body's ongoing concentration of natural growth hormones.

3. Get Plenty of Sleep

Studies show that roughly 70% of the body's natural growth hormones are produced during sleep. Other studies indicate that up to 95% of muscle growth occurs exclusively while you're asleep as well. If you're not giving yourself 7 to 8 hours of sleep per night, you're robbing yourself of major bodybuilding progress. In fact, if you take natural growth hormone supplements and fail to get adequate sleep, you'll cancel out the effects of some supplements. Regardless of supplementation, your body is your best possible source of growth hormones. Supplementation should add to your body's level of growth hormones, not make up for deficits you're incurring by losing sleep.
