Maximizer (Androgenol) is a male enhancement pill developed by Purity Select (HGH.com) that is meant to enlarge your penis and make you last longer during sex.

Main Benefits of Maximizer Pills include:
1. Last longer during sex.
2. Grow the size of your penis.

Maximizer is a great natural and affordable alternative to prescription medicines like Viagra, Cialis, and Lavitra. Furthermore, Maximizer male enhancement pills do not require prescriptions!

How does it work?
There is a proprietary blend of ingredients in Maximizer male enhancement pills that together create a synergistic effect giving males increased penis size and the ability to have more endurance and last longer during sex.

Significant active ingredients in Maximizer Male Enhancement Pills include:

Deer Antler Velvet: Deer velvet antler not only gives you added energy when taken as a supplement, but it also is a powerful immune system booster as well as, in our case, a stimulant and sexual pleasure enhancer. Most commonly known for its use in Chinese history for sexual enhancement, it is one of nature’s most effective rejuvenating sexual boosters. It raises the hormones necessary for healthy sexual functioning and restores the body's energy levels depleted by stress or exhaustion. It has the scientifically proven to increase physical stamina.
Horny Goat Weed: Behind the name of this extract, Horny Goat Weed is a powerful, documented, and scientifically proven aphrodisiac that increases libido in BOTH men and women, as well as improves erectile dysfunction in men.

When adding these two ingredients to a list of other proprietary ingredients that we have put together, we have created a top rated and guaranteed pill that will no doubt give you the benefits that you want and need.

Not all ingredients are the same! Not all pills are created equal!
It's important to note that both deer antler velvet as well as horny goat weed extract are both ingredients that are extracted and depending on the parts of the world that the ingredients come from determine whether or not they work. That's why HGH.com guarantees it's male enhancement pill - we know the ingredients, where they are made, and we know they will work.

HGF MAX - Human Growth Hormone Releaser and Booster

HGF Max will
increase your HGH levels

HGF-MAX

Between the ages of 30 to 40, a person’s pituitary gland begins to slow down production of your human growth hormone. Because of this change, the body starts to show signs of aging such as decreased muscle mass, increased fatty deposits, sagging skin, etc... Human growth hormone helps to keep us looking and feeling young, which is why taking HGH supplements can be a highly effective way of maintaining those desired aspects of youth. In particular, the HGH supplement HGF-MAX can slow and reverse the aging process when taken regularly.

What is HGF-MAX?

HGF-MAX is a human growth hormone supplement that functions exactly like the body’s own version of HGH. However, because the pituitary gland decreases production of the human growth hormone as we age, the body begins to break down. No longer can we as easily maintain our muscle mass. Instead we gain fatty deposits, especially around the midsection, which can result in serious health issues such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes. Also, our bone density begins to deteriorate. Our skin loses its elasticity. Though these are all symptoms of diminished human growth hormone levels, HGF-MAX can act as a useful substitute for our body’s lack of natural HGH, and you can help your body return back to its youth form!

How does HGF-MAX work?

HGF-MAX functions like many other anti-aging supplements. Once introduced to the body, it immediately begins to repair and reverse the signs of aging. Because the human growth hormone is responsible for maintaining numerous bodily features such as the skeletal, muscular and dermal systems, HGF-MAX can change a person’s entire body. Muscle mass will increase, fatty deposits will shrink and the skin will regain its former suppleness. In effect, this HGH supplement can return the body to a healthier and more vital state.

What are the benefits of using HGF-MAX?

Using an HGH supplement like HGF-MAX has dual benefits. First, it can give a person a more youthful appearance by preventing both wrinkles and fatty deposits from forming. Rather than enlisting the aid of more invasive procedures like plastic surgery, you can instead take the human growth hormone HGF-MAX to regain the aesthetic appeal of youth. Second, HGH supplements such as HGF-MAX can change the body from inside out. Not only does it increase bone density, which cuts down the chances of serious injury due to a fall or other accident, but also it works to stave off those fatty deposits that prove to be dangerous to one’s health. Heart disease and type 2 diabetes are both major medical issues facing many individuals today. However, human growth hormones can be used to prevent these conditions from arising later in life.

Getting older generally holds a negative connotation. Though we cannot turn back time, that doesn’t mean we have to accept the changes that typically come with age. The human growth hormone HGF-MAX can return the vitality and health of our youth and offers several benefits. Not only can HGF-MAX save a person’s physical image, but it can also save a person’s health and life.

Benefits of HGH - Human Growth Hormone

How HGH can Slow Aging

The pituitary gland and its production of the human growth hormone are responsible for helping children physically mature during adolescence. However, HGH is just as important for adults. Among its numerous benefits, the human growth hormone helps maintain the strength of our muscular and skeletal systems. Yet once production begins to decline in our 30s and beyond, we then notice signs of aging like increased fatty deposits, weaken bones and decreased skin elasticity. However, HGH supplements can stall these unwanted effects of aging, and in many cases, even reverse them.

HGH Increases Muscle Mass

As one ages, the ability to sustain and increase muscle mass becomes a difficult task. The human growth hormone regulates muscular strength and density, so a lack of it results in a weakened bodily state. Using HGH supplementsas a part of one’s health regimen can give the body a much needed boost toward maintaining the muscular system and even increasing muscle mass.

HGH Reduces Body Fat

Upon turning 40, some people experience what is commonly called “middle-age spread.” Regardless of diet or exercise, it becomes harder and harder to keep the stomach area from storing up fatty deposits. What’s worse is that studies have found that collecting fat around one’s mid-section can result in more serious health issues such as heart disease or diabetes. Human growth hormone pills can counter this risk to one’s health. HGH supplements stave off the accumulation of fat around the stomach and vital organs, thus helping to avoid a potential heart attack or a worse health condition down the road.

HGH Strengthens Bone Density

Bones become more brittle and susceptible to breakage as one ages. Whereas a fall at 20 may cause a few bumps and bruises, the very same act could result in a broken hip at 60. However, anti-aging supplements can be used to ward off bone density deterioration. HGH pills work to maintain bone tissue, and together with a healthy diet and regular exercise, can actually increase skeletal strength.

HGH Improves Skin Appearance

Wrinkles may not be considered a life-threatening circumstance, but many people think of them as among the worst signs of aging. When the body decreases production of the human growth hormones, skin decreases in elasticity as well. It loses its tautness and begins to sag and look sallow. Yet HGH pills can reverse these highly unwanted effects of getting older. By restoring previous levels of the human growth hormone, the skin can quite literally bounce back from its former state. It will once again regain its suppleness and give off the appearance of health and vitality.

Getting older doesn’t need to be scorned. One can simply learn to age smarter with the use of HGH supplements. Human growth hormone pills can give back to a person his or her former strength and youthful appearance. No matter what signs of aging you have, HGH supplements can force back those undesirable effects of age and give anyone who uses them the ability to live a longer and more productive life.

L-Valine is a branched-chain amino acid found in high concentration in the muscles. L-Valine cannot be made by the body, and must be acquired through food or dietary supplements. It has a stimulating effect and is needed for muscle metabolism - Building Muscle, repairing muscle, and growth of muscle tissue, and maintaining the nitrogen balance in the body. Since it is a branched-chain amino acid, it can be used as an energy source in the muscles, and in doing so preserves the use of glucose.

L-Leucine - 1500mg: Preserve Lean Muscle
L-Leucine helps preserve lean muscle tissue, it supplies the body with energy when under stress (i.e. when engaging in athletic activity), and it preserves muscle glycogen (glucose stored in muscle tissue used to power muscular contraction), it maintains nitrogen balance, and it enhances thinking abilities that can decline as physical activity becomes more intense. It also works to heal bone, skin and muscle tissue.

Additionally, L-Leucine may increase somatropin (HGH- Human Growth Hormone) secretion - a hormone that may lead to healthier joints, a slowing (and possible reversal) of the ageing process, decreases in body fat, and increases in strength and muscle mass.

L-Isoleucine - 750mg: Increase Endurance
L-IsoLeucine is probably best known for its use in increasing endurance and helping heal and repair muscle tissue. Bodybuilding requires energy and endurance. By using IsoLeucine along with Valine and Leucine, the muscles fully recover after exercise. IsoLeucine is literally broken down within the muscle tissue to provide energy.

L-Isoleucine is an amino acid, one of three known as branched chain amino acids (BCAAs). It is important in the regulation of blood sugar, and also helps increase energy level. L-Isoleucine can be obtained through the foods you eat or supplements.

Penis Enhancement - Using HGH Penile Maximizer to enhance your penis size and sex

Maximizer Penis Enlargement Pill

Penis Enhancement: Using HGH and "Maximizer" to enlarge your penis and enhance your sex life

Erectile dysfunction is one of the most embarrassing ailments a man can suffer from. It is impossible for a man to maintain a healthy sex life when his erections are unpredictable or even non-existent. Having erectile dysfunction could mean that a man fails to produce an erection when the time is right. Other times, he might be able to get an erection, but cannot sustain it for the duration of sexual intercourse.

Not only is this a stressful physical ailment, but it can also take its psychological toll on a man. Erectile dysfunction can lead to anxiety and stress along with having an impact on a man's romantic relationships. Luckily, effective penis growth pills like the all-natural Maximizer can remedy these problems and lead to a life of enjoyable sex.

Main cause of erectile dysfunction

While there can be many causes of erectile dysfunction, one of which can be a sign of more extensive health problems, the main issue hindering the ability to maintain an erection lies in blood flow to the penis.

The penis is comprised of two long tubes that run the length of the organ. These tubes are called the corpora cavernosa. When a man is sexually aroused, the brain signals the muscles in the penis to relax as the corpora cavernosa fills will blood to produce an erection. When blood does not flow in this fashion, it leads to a flaccid penis or weak erection that does not last.

Maximizer increases blood flow to the penis

Maximizer is a penis enhancement pill that works by not only improving the flow of blood to the corpora cavernosa, but also increasing its capacity for blood to produce a bigger penis and thicker, longer erection. Maximizer helps spur cell growth in the corpora cavernosa. With more cells present, the penis can hold more blood, leading to a larger penis and subsequent erection. The end result is a bigger penis untouched by the debilitating signs of erectile dysfunction.

Maximizer has the same effect on men as the famed drug Viagra, only it is safer and more effective because it is anall-natural penis supplement pill. Because of this, Maximizer does not offer any ill side effects that can side track a man's sex life. In fact, many refer to Maximizer as "herbal Viagra".

Why does it matter that Maximizer is natural?

In addition to sparing users from any negative side effects, Maximizer harnesses the power of a recent medical breakthrough. Studies have shown that the corpora cavernosa responds best to herbal ingredients. Maximizer is comprised of age-old Chinese herbal ingredients along with employing other nutritive supplements. In short, Maximizer's herbal nature makes it more effective than any other penile enlargement pill on the market.

What other benefits does Maximizer offer?

While a bigger penis is generally the goal for those that choose to try Maximizer, this penile enlargement pill offers other benefits that lead to more enjoyable sex. Men will see increased libido and find they can last longer during the process of intercourse.

Maximizer may be enough to kick the problem signs of erectile dysfunction. However, even men who are simply tired of their average-sized penis can also find use for Maximizer.

HGH for a Bodybuilding Supplementation

How HGH Supplements can Help You in Bodybuilding

Human Growth Hormone has been dubbed by many as the most effective means of gaining muscle. Bodybuilders, and those that simply want to feature a more muscular physique, have turned to HGH supplements and experienced dramatic results because of it. If a person's regimen of bodybuilding supplements does not include HGH, backbreaking workouts will not produce the new layers of lean muscle that they are striving for.

Low HGH means no more new muscle cells

I've often talked about how the production of Human Growth Hormone slows down as men and women age. This process wreaks havoc on the overall health of a man or woman. In terms ofmuscle growth, once Human Growth Hormone has reached a certain level, the human body stops producing new muscle cells. A man or woman is then left with a fixed number of muscle cells for the rest of their lives.

They can increase the visibility of these muscles by bulking up their size through workouts or the use of anabolic steroids, but never will they be able to produce additional lean muscle mass through these means.

Human Growth Hormone supplements are the only way for an aging man or woman to build new muscle naturallyalong with reaping a number of additional benefits. Muscle gaining pills institute Human Growth Hormone, which prompt the body to produce new muscle cells. These cells come in the form of lean muscle mass, which aid in increasing muscle density.

HGH vs. steroids

While anabolic steroid users certainly appear to add on new lean muscle mass to their bodies, this is not the case. Steroids encourage rapid weight gain and can be incredibly dangerous (Not to mention illegal). Human Growth Hormone and Bodybuilding supplements tack on weight significantly slower, but this is because the weight is comprised of strictly lean muscle mass.

Steroids can usher in a host of negative side effects and are easy to detect through tests. Many opt for bodybuilding supplements that contain HGH because they are more effective and natural to a body’s normal hormones.

Other benefits of HGH supplements

Human Growth Hormone does a lot more than just add lean muscle mass. By increasing metabolism in the body, Human Growth Hormone helps a person lose unwanted fat. Because HGH increases metabolism, individuals can eat more and still not run the risk of gaining weight.

Also, Human Growth Hormone increases energy levels in individuals so they feel more active and can endure longer, more strenuous workouts. Men and women will find that they need less time to recover between workouts by using Human Growth Hormone supplements. The more frequent and intense the workouts, the more muscle men and women are able to build.

Human Growth Hormone also helps strengthen joints and fortify tissue to help decrease the likelihood of injury at the hands of a rigorous workout.

HGH is not a wonder treatment

Remember, Human Growth Hormone supplements facilitate muscle gain and weight loss. Men and women still have to maintain a proper diet, exercise routine and weight training regimen in order to see results.

HGH and Performance Enhancing Drugs in Sports

HGH And Steroids - They Do Increase Performance
The Two Minute History Behind HGH and Sports

HGH Injections

The use of performance enhancing drugs has been one of the most central issues in sports in the last few years and the human growth hormone has been a huge part of that issue.

The use of human growth hormone has been a reality among athletes almost as far back at 1981, when recombinant human growth hormone was first developed. This is a synthetic form of human growth hormone, which otherwise could have only been extracted from human bodies at the time. Recombinant human growth hormone made HGH more readily available, even if some of its exchange took place on the black market.

Just about every sport imaginable has had to grapple with developing testing policies and sanctions in dealing with athletes that turn to performance enhancing drugs to improve their play on the court, field or track. Of these performance-enhancing drugs, most athletic administrators - perhaps negligently - lumped human growth hormone in the same category as anabolic steroids and similar drugs.

Olympic committee first to demonize HGH

Many could argue that this precedent was set in 1989 when the International Olympic Committee deemed human growth hormone as a banned substance for their athletes. Any athlete caught using human growth hormone to prepare their bodies for the intense athletic competition would be disqualified. Still, the Olympic Games did not actually test for human growth hormone until 2004.

One must keep in mind the very limited knowledge that the world had of human growth hormone at the time this initial decision was made. So much has been discovered since then that proves human growth hormone, when used correctly, provides safe benefits.

HGH for athletic purposes banned in U.S.

The United States banned medical professionals from supplying patients with human growth hormone for athletic purposes. Human growth hormone treatments do remain FDA-approved when the individual suffers from insufficient levels of HGH. Despite this law, athletes have continued to take to the hormone to increase their athletic abilities. Up until the last decade, it was essentially impossible to test for it. This technology has since evolved and athletic administrators have heavily targeted those that use it.

Athletes can benefit from other forms of HGH Supplementation and Sports Enhancement Products.

How HGH helps in sports

While human growth hormone is most commonly linked to the development of lean muscle, athletes involved in sports where strength was a key trait appropriately turned to human growth hormone and its benefits. Endurance athletes like soccer players, cyclists and even track and field athletes also began using it. Some athletes have been said to abuse HGH and taking them in combination with other anabolic steroids.

While medical literature does not confirm the link, building lean muscle can help an athlete develop strength. Human growth hormone also helps build tissue in the body, which allows an athlete to recover quicker from injury, helping them get back in the game quicker.

In Summary
HGH is still relatively new, but the benefits when used properly are known to be incredible. In sports, it does give an unfair advantage. However, HGH is not only safer and a better alternative to Steroids, but also a legal one when used for the purpose of Growth Deficiency Supplementation.

HGH Supplements in pill form are sold on our web site http://www.hgh.com, because prescription HGH is extremely costly and requires a doctors RX. Our supplements are legal, and can provide similar benefits of HGH.

The Importance Of HGH - Human Growth Hormones

Why HGH is So Important

HGH 30,000
Human Growth
Hormone Releaser

A Quick Read on Why HGH is so Important...

There is a reason why a multi-million dollar industry has developed around human growth hormone and human growth hormone therapy treatments. Everyone wants this important hormone in their body and at sufficient levels. Otherwise, they may begin to experience ill health effects. Insufficient levels of human growth hormone may also be a problem as people age. They may be helped by supplementing their bodies with different hormones.

The Function of HGH and why levels fall...

Human growth hormone fuels growth in children and young adults. Produced in the pituitary gland - located at the base of the brain - the hormone spurs muscle, tissue, cell and organ growth among the other signs of growing older and maturing. Essentially, this hormone is responsible for keeping bodies young, vital, strong and healthy. This is why when levels of the hormone recede, a person may begin to feel old, weak and unhealthy.

When a man or woman reaches their middle-age years (around the age of 30), the pituitary gland begins to slow the production of human growth hormone. This is a natural process and one that many consider to be the aging process. When a person ages and begins to feel weak and no longer energetic, that may be due to the plummeting levels of human growth hormone.

While everyone experiences this decline, some men and women could even suffer from ailments that limit the production of human growth hormone even further, making it important to replenish the hormone. These ailments are rare, but can come in the form as such conditions as a tumor on the pituitary gland.

Supplementing HGH helps restore the body!

Decades ago, once a man or woman began to experience slowed production of human growth hormone, they were destined for a life of little to no energy with a weaker, frail body. Through medical breakthroughs, doctors can now supplement the body with human growth hormone to bring that youth and vitality back to a person's life. Through human growth hormone, men and women will discover more energy, stronger muscles, increased bone density and better performance in sex, which are all more akin to their younger years.

The mass media often refers to the use of human growth hormone as a means of anti-aging because may help restore some measure of youth and vitality to a person's life.

The Importance of Bodybuilding Supplements

Bodybuilding Supplements - How They Help and Why They're Important

ANA-GH
Bodybuilding Pill
Bodybuilding Supplements are the only way to truly enhance workouts. A bodybuilder can spend all day in the weight room lifting weights, but without the right substances in his or her body, he or she will not see the intended results. It takes a lot of hard work in order to build lean muscle of a normal individual's proportions. Achieving the massive bulk and tone sought by a bodybuilder requires a bit of a boost.

Supplements for different purposes

There are many bodybuilding supplements on the market and they all work to achieve different things. The world of supplements is not as cut-and-dry as figuring one supplement will help a bodybuilder achieve all the benefits they need for an intense workout. All supplements bring with them a unique set of benefits. A bodybuilder must access what he or she is looking to get out of their workout and select the proper supplements accordingly.

Our bodybuilding supplements are entirely safe as long as the user implements them in the correct doses. Supplements have evolved with the years and are now the only true way to efficiently work out.

Building muscle

The obvious goal of a bodybuilder's workout is to build lean muscle mass - and a lot of it. There are a wide variety of bodybuilding supplements that aid in this process and most of them center on protein. By supplying all the appropriate muscle-building enzymes, supplements centered on protein will make it easier to build muscle.

Check out our Bodybuilding HGH Supplements which don't necessarily focus on protein, but rather, other ingredients to naturally build your muscle: http://www.hgh.com/body-building-hgh.aspx

This volume of protein cannot be found in a daily diet, but only through supplement. Another upside to protein supplement is that protein is natural and safe to use.

Increasing stamina

To get a lot out of a bodybuilding workout, a man or woman needs to endure grueling and lengthy sessions. Supplements can help keep the energy flowing to make this happen. Many think that a supplement like creatine is responsible for building muscle. It is not, but does lay the groundwork for it. Creatine actually gives a bodybuilder a boost of energy so they can lift heavy weights for a longer period of time. By being able to do this, a bodybuilder can get more out of their workouts.

Our new ANA-GH bodybuilding supplement includes stronger ingredients than Creatine to help increase stamina.

Recover quicker

Finally, bodybuilders need to be able to recover quickly so they can continue with their workout regiment. Supplements can help aid in muscle recovery so that an athlete does not have to waste time being inactive.

Not only do bodybuilders need to strike a balance between the different types of supplements, but they also need to mix in the most appropriate diet and exercise routine to go along with it. Building a bodybuilder's workout and diet plan can be an intricate science, but it is one that would be entirely incomplete without the aid of bodybuilding supplements.

Hollywood Actors Bodybuilding Workout Videos and Tips

Hollywood Actors Bodybuilding Workout Videos and Tips

Ever wonder how actors attain their chiseled physiques for movie roles like Wolverine, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America and the warriors in 300? Well, so did we. We found some great videos that divulge their bodybuilding workouts, secrets and diets. Plus, we created a star-studded Pinterest board filled with even more Hollywood movie role workouts for you to get an inside look at how these actors transform their bodies to become your favorite big screen characters.

Getting in Shape for the Movie 300

While getting ready to be in the film 300: Rise of the Empire, many of the actors trained over the course of seven months. As they trained, these actor's bodies were put under a lot of muscular and metabolic stress. They never did the same workout twice.

Gerard Butler states, “I think cardio is always a killer. Cardio. Cardio. Cardio. I hate it, but it’s the one that makes the difference. I kind of love to just go in the gym and do weights, but unfortunately, you can’t always get away with that. So, when you combine weights with circuit training, it’s a great way of building muscle in a leaner way and also burning fat because you’re doing a lot of cardio as well.”

Mark Twight, the personal trainer responsible for coming up with the workouts to sculpt those infamous six-pack abs, shares some insight regarding what it takes to get the actors in shape for a film like 300.

Transforming from Jackman to Wolverine

Ever wonder what Hugh Jackman’s diet is like as he prepares to become the Wolverine character? In this video, Hugh Jackman shares his secret, along with what he had to do while filming Les Misérables, which he was working on right before his next Wolverine film. You’ll have to watch the entire video to get the low-down on what he consumes while getting ready to play Wolverine.

Affleck's Top 5 Exercises for The Town Role

Sports nutritionist Rehan Jalali shows us how to do five of the incredible exercises Ben Affleck did with personal trainer Walter Norton, Jr., while preparing for his role in the movie The Town. Affleck's philosophy as he trained for this part was, "Intensity builds immensity."

Jalali is at the Gold's Gym in LA to give us an up-close and personal look at the technique for each exercise:

  • Weighted Pull Ups (Back)
  • Dumbbell Bench Press (Chest)
  • Supinated Curls (Biceps)
  • Walking Lunges (Legs)
  • Hanging Leg Raises (Abs)

Plus, he shares the weight Affleck was using while doing these exercises. What a great way to get lean and tight for the part.

Elliptical Training Workout Videos and Tips

Elliptical Training to Energize Your Workouts

We’re pumped about elliptical training. Not only do you get an incredible workout, but you also get total body muscle toning too. By increasing your stride length on an elliptical, you can burn more calories without feeling like it's more work. Whether you want to improve your fitness or shed some fat, elliptical training can help you achieve your goals.

You’ll find that there are many benefits to working out on the elliptical, such as lower joint stress than other exercises (i.e. running), greater muscle activation, more core muscle focus, posture improvement and better balance. Best of all, elliptical training saves you loads of time, since you're working both upper and lower body endurance, improving your cardiovascular fitness and tightening your core all at the same time. To give your workout a boost, we've gathered together a few YouTube videos, along with an awesome workout and we created a Pinterest board specifically for elliptical workouts.

Interval Training on the Elliptical

Get on the elliptical with musculoskeletal expert Rowan Ellis for an intense 10-minute interval-training workout. Throughout the workout, Rowan shares vital exercise techniques to put the most impact on your quadriceps and glutes, while keeping the stress off of your lower back and neck.

The exercise intervals include working hard for 40 seconds and increasing the speed for each interval. There is also a 20-second recovery phase between the work hard phases. After that, there are four build-up phases, where the resistance is turned up each time and there’s a 20-second recovery phase between each here as well.

Getting the Most out of Elliptical Training

There are a few common mistakes people tend to make when working out on an elliptical trainer. WINK News fitness expert Mike Drumm explains what those tendencies are and how to achieve maximum results from your elliptical workout. Some of the major slip-ups that can have the most impact on your elliptical workout include:

  • Incorrect or no age/weight information put into the machine
  • Improper form
  • Zero resistance
  • Not changing directions
  • Fail to switch up your workout routine

Gain insight regarding these trouble areas, as well as what you can do to maximize your elliptical workout and achieve the best results:

The Best of Both Worlds

There are times when two worlds collide and incredibly wonderful things happen. This is one of those times. By combining an elliptical workout with circuit training, you get an amazing workout that adds some spice to your training routine. We found this 40-Minute Elliptical + Circuit Workout on The Running Doc and thought you might like to check it out. L-Tyrosine Benefits, Uses, Side Effects and Functions

Discover the Function, Sources and Benefits of the Health Supplement Ingredient L-Tyrosine, or 2-Amino-3-(4-Hydroxyphenyl)-Propanoic acid

Tyrosine – also known as L-tyrosine and 2-amino-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propanoic acid – is an amino acid that is found in certain foods and produced by the body. It serves as a building block of neurotransmitters and protein, and supports proper organ function. Individuals seeking to boost their levels of L-tyrosine can obtain it through food sources as well as in natural health and bodybuilding supplements such as HGH 30,000 Nanograms, HGF-MAX, A-Max 50 and whey protein mixes.

Functions of L-Tyrosine

As an amino acid, L-tyrosine plays a role in protein synthesis. It is also critical for the production of three key neurotransmitters – epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine – that support the nervous system and influence mood, and it is involved in the production of melanin (skin pigments). Finally, L-tyrosine helps to maintain proper function of the thyroid, pituitary and adrenal glands, which are responsible for producing and regulating hormones.

Sources of L-Tyrosine

The body naturally manufactures tyrosine from another amino acid called phenylalanine. Dietary sources of tyrosine include soy, eggs, turkey, chicken, fish, dairy (cheese, milk, cottage cheese, yogurt), pork, beef, beans, peanuts, mustard greens, spinach, pumpkin seeds, and seaweed. L-tyrosine may also be consumed as an ingredient within natural dietary supplements.

L-Tyrosine Benefits and Uses

Since tyrosine is involved in producing epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine, it appears to help the body manage the effects of stress. Studies suggest that L-tyrosine may help to enhance memory and mental function under physical and psychological stress, including lack of sleep. It also has been shown to reduce fatigue and increase alertness in individuals who are sleep-deprived.

Numerous sources suggest that L-tyrosine functions as a natural human growth hormone (HGH) releaser, also known as an HGH secretagogue. For this reason, L-tyrosine is believed to have a beneficial effect on athletic performance, helping to build muscle and increase endurance.

Side Effects of L-Tyrosine and Potential Interactions

L-tyrosine supplements are generally considered safe for adults. Some people may experience minor side effects such as nausea, headaches and upset stomach, particularly at high dosages. However, individuals who have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid) or Graves disease should avoid L-tyrosine supplements, as they can exacerbate these conditions due to increased production of thyroxine.

Interactions are possible with some medications. L-tyrosine has the potential to elevate thyroxine levels too high when taken in combination with synthetic thyroid hormones, and it may interfere with the absorption of levodopa (L-dopa) in patients with Parkinson’s disease. L-tyrosine supplements may also cause a severe increase in blood pressure when taken with a class of antidepressant medications known as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs). More detailed safety information on L-tyrosine side effects and interactions can be found on the University of Maryland Medical Center website. As with any medication or health supplement, it is best to consult your physician before taking dietary supplements containing L-tyrosine.

L-Tyrosine Research and Studies

Numerous research studies have explored the impact of L-tyrosine supplements on mental function, memory and alertness, particularly in relation to physical and psychological stress such as sleep deprivation and cold exposure. One such study published in the Brain Research Bulletin examined the effects of L-tyrosine on cadets during a weeklong military combat training course, and found that supplementation improved cognitive performance while reducing systolic blood pressure. Another group of researchers reported in Aviation Space and Environmental Medicine that L-tyrosine supplements had the ability to counteract cognitive performance decreases in subjects required to perform continuous work after losing a night’s sleep. Similarly, an article in Physiology & Behavior stated that L-tyrosine supplements helped alleviate working memory decrements in subjects exposed to severe cold.

In Amino Acids and Proteins for the Athlete: The Anabolic Edge, author Mauro G. Di Pasquale asserted that amino acids such as tyrosine, arginine, leucine and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) all may potentiate HGH secretion. Research into L-tyrosine’s effects on athletic performance, muscle growth and endurance remains ongoing; however, clinical evidence in support of these benefits has not yet been published.

For additional L-tyrosine research, refer to the PubMed site sponsored by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Circuit Training Workouts

Get the Most out of Circuit-Training Workouts

Have you hit a plateau or just want to switch up your workout routine a bit? Then, you're probably going to enjoy circuit training workouts as much as we do. You'll find they provide the ideal combination of strength exercises and aerobic exercises. There are many benefits to circuit training as well:

  • Easily modifiable for all fitness levels
  • Builds total body strength
  • Increases endurance
  • Stimulates weight loss
  • Breaks plateaus
  • Improves cardiovascular fitness
  • Bans workout boredom

In general, circuit training workouts include six to 10 exercises completed consecutively with little to no rest between each. To get the optimal benefits from circuit training, you should not rest for any more than 30 seconds between exercises. For timed circuit training workouts, beginners may want to start with 30 seconds per exercise and increase the amount of time as you advance. You can also shorten the rest time between exercises.

To get you moving, we’ve compiled a few circuit training videos and created a Pinterest board totally dedicated to Circuit Training Workouts.

Cutting-Edge Circuit Training Workout

Let's start out with a maximum results kind of circuit training workout. This routine is designed to define your chest, arms and abs, blast belly fat, and significantly improve your fitness level. Trainers David Jack and Jen Widerstrom take you through the routine during this Men’s Health Circuit Workout – Part 1 video that includes these exercises:

  • Dumbbell Hybrid
  • Dumbbell Swing
  • Goblet Squat
  • Glute Bridge
  • High Knee Run
  • Jumping Jacks
  • Lateral Hops
  • Mountain Climber
  • Skips
  • Split-Stance Single-Arm Rows

Boot Camp-Style Circuit Training Workout

Turn up the intensity with a boot camp-style workout routine. BeFit GO's expert trainers, Courtney Prather, William Copsey and Jessica Blythe, give us a kick butt cross training workout that is designed to build strength, improve agility, increase endurance and burn fat. The 30-Minute Boot Camp Body Circuit Training Workout video is a unique blend of cardio, strength and plyometric exercises.

Before you begin this super-charged 30-minute workout, you'll need to gather these items:

  • Bottle of Water
  • Medicine Ball
  • Towel
  • Yoga Mat

Make sure to focus on proper form and stay hydrated during this workout, where you'll be focusing on your arms, chest, shoulders, back, abs, glutes and legs. Keep in mind, you can modify this circuit training workout to your specific skill level by adjusting weight, repetitions and rest periods. Don’t forget to have a bottle of water and a towel nearby while completing this routine, which includes the following exercises:

  • Air Squats
  • Broad Jumps
  • Butt Bridge
  • Butt Kicks
  • High Knees
  • Karaokes
  • Lying Quad Stretch (each leg)
  • Lower Back Stretch (each side)
  • Pigeon Stretch (each leg)

Advanced Circuit Training

As you can see, circuit training workouts can vary in the types of exercises, as well as the amount of rest between sets. Keep your circuit training workout moving at warp speed by going from one exercise to the next with no rest in between. One of the nicest things about circuit training is that you can switch up your routine. Whether you choose to add different exercises, vary the amount of time for each exercise, increase or decrease rest times, or change your exercise intensity, you can create a circuit to help you reach your goals.

The following video gives us a glimpse at an advanced level of circuit training to promote fitness and strength. They introduce several exercises with no break in between, such as:

  • Burpees
  • Dumbbell Rows
  • High-Knee Push-ups
  • Spiderman Crawl
